lost in nine eleven

The pain caused so long ago,
Yet it's scar is left deep and low.
People jumped in fear of fire,
Others decended from personal desire.
Chaos was broken outside in the street,
Everyone's scared, tired and beat.
Onlookers feared for those caught inside,
While trapped, they wished to contact outside.
Not all could be saved in the time required,
But everyone helped even if they weren't hired.
People risked their lives for hundreds of others,
Waiting in fear desperate for lovers.
But the building colapsed, and the sky turned to ash.
No one knew what had happened, it did it so fast.
And the horrors told of this scary story,
Were terribly sad, and devistatingly gory.
The twin towers are gone, but their lights still remain,
Two beams that are known for their tragic fame.
So here, years later, we still ache at the cost,
The rememberance of all of those who were lost.
